Wharton Garden
- The Wharton Garden is a public garden located in the town of Bedford, Virginia between the Bedford Central Library and The Bower Center for the Arts.
- This is the first addition of the “Early Childhood Ensemble Instruments” to this ADA-accessible section of the Melody Garden. “The instrument sounds are beautiful, the learning is immeasurable, and the playing of these instruments by children with parents and grandparents is so special!”
- The Tuned drums bring percussion sounds to the outdoors. Similar to Congo drums, this set of five drums can be played by hand.
- The musical Mushrooms add a whimsical element. Played like a drum, they create a resounding gong sound.
- Inspire rhythm and dance with the Rhythm; it’s a natural-sounding instrument and a percussive cousin to the Melody, which adds twinkly sounds with 9 notes in C major diatonic.
- Add the turtle for kids to climb and a bench for listening to the beautiful sounds created!
